Here in the Midwest, the hot, humid, sticky summer is just around the corner. So I thought we could all use a few ideas to keep the overheating at bay. We all remember the days of eating those psychedelic colored sticks of Freeze Pops. You know – the stuff that turned your tongue green, blue and red. Instead of rushing out to get frozen sugar water in a tube, why not make your own healthy versions yourself? Here are some great ideas to get you started:

Avocado Popsicles

Tropical Mango Popsicles
Blackberry, Honey & Yogurt Popsicle
Blood Orange Creamsicles

Cappucino Pops
Watermelon Mojito Popsicles
Strawberry Banana Popsicles…with Spinach!

Samoa Pops
(they may not be the healthiest but they look delicious!)
Most of these would also be great to make with kids (exceptions: watermelon mojito and cappucino) and would be a fun summer activity. Or why not surprise guests with one of these fun frozen treats at your Memorial Day barbeque? Have fun making these warm weather snacks on a stick and even more fun eating them!
